I Feel So Insignificant and Contemptible

I admit it -- I'm a twerp. When anonymous writers on an anonymous blog pass judgment on my inner being, how can I argue? What can I say when such an august body of people afraid to attach their names to their opinions decide to respond to my critique of their blog with such damning comments as "alachuapolitix rules" and "alachuapolitix rules"?

All that is left for me is either seppuku or registering as a Republican, which in the grand scheme is pretty much the same thing.

Colin is a twerp. Nanana Boo boo.

Real smart comment by me, huh? It REALLY must bother you that stupid people like myself have taken over your beloved democracy.

How about that supreme court nominee?

alachuapolitix rules.

See you at the massage parlor this weekend.

Hi Colin - Obviously these posters have some deep seated problems. "Alachua Politix" appears to be some disaffected democrat who has some major life disappointments that are being taken out with vengeance on the DEC, local elected officials, etc. No doubt these people have nothing to do with his failures. This blogger and his fans resent those who are successful in life, and they sit behind a computer tearing others down. Too bad they don't just go find a good therapist.

I appreciate your willingness to engage with these sad people, but can't imagine how you can stomach it!

A Longtime Colin Fan

Hey, everyone is willing to have an opinion, even if "alachuapolitix rules" is as deep as it gets. This "twerp" thing was and is a huge laugh for me, and I certainly don't let it bother me. Why would it? I'm Brave Sir Colin, right?

Hey, if people want to only lurk on my blog or write knuckleheaded anonymous comments, that's up to them. I don't force anyone to read the blog and I have no interest in knowing who is reading it. I write it for personal reasons -- I like to write and express myself, and in these times of maximum frustration with the collective idiocy, it is a helpful way to release mine. So think of my work on Alachua Politix as time on the punching bag, working on my upper cut and left jab. Especially the Left jab.

colin,

I don't think you're a twerp, heck I don't even know you. I think the "problem" you have as a devout "liberal" is the same as devout conservatives have. That is, both sides are too busy drinking their own Kool-Aid to realize that every once in a while the other side has a good idea.

Alex Patton (oops Alachuapolitix - PJ - Alex J Patton) is indeed a disaffected Democrat wishing the "good ole" Democratic party would return to the South to return it to the "good ole" days of Southern-style democracy.

You remember those days.
